Oh Wow! Up to my ears in assignments coming due (2 papers, 2 books, a sermon next week) and activities and responsibilities and jobs and other things that all need to be done RIGHT NOW!!! (or else 5 minutes ago!) OK, so maybe the “Right now or 5 minutes ago” part is exaggeration. Actually, minus the “maybe.” It is an exaggeration. But seeing everything looming up in front of me in the next 10 days is giving me a huge overdose of stress. I’m going to go CRAYZEE!!!!!
But Student Council meeting today was fun, and made me laugh hard. We were discussing the meal for Christmas Banquet next Friday, and the fact that special food (like steak) costs extra, and thus, Mr. Cook probably won’t be happy if we choose it.
Freshman Pres: “Fine then, why don’t we buy a cow? No! Let’s RAISE a cow!”
Mommy RA: “Rrrrright. In time for Christmas Banquet in 10 days. Yup. Uh huh.”
Freshman Pres: “Fine, then, we’ll borrow a cow!”
Oh my. Oh MY! What can ya do but laugh?!
A verse that has ministered to my soul since November Break, in some things I’ve been going through is Psalms 37:7 — “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way…”
P.S. – Posted this, then realized I should clarify. Don’t worry, I’m not preaching! The guys are doing sermons for Homiletics class. And us girls are doing sermons too, only we’re calling them devotionals and doing them only in front of the girls. There. Is that better?! Sounds a little less scary!
