JB defined…

Mrs. G, this post is specially for you! (do you feel special?!) But this is going to be my life for the next 10 days, so I should explain it better. JB is Junior Business — perhaps called that because it’s no one else’s business here at school, because it’s top secret? I don’t know. Strikes me as a kind of funny name. We put on the entire Spring Banquet in a week and a half, though. We completely decorate the Dining Hall and lounge. Paint all the walls (well, paint paper and tape it on the walls!), put up all kinds of props…basically, transform it to match our theme…which is MAJORLY top secret! We plan the menu, prepare the food, serve the food, make costumes, write a play, perform the play, have a special speaker, and a program, etc. It’s a ton of work, and I’m told to expect MANY late nights, but a LOT of fun. We have less than 10 days left now, and we — what’s that expression? — pouring on the coal? Either way, we are officially getting down to business now. The girls are starting to worry we won’t be ready in time. The boys are like, “Oh, we’ll be fine! Why are you so concerned?!” We are told this is very typical!
